Pet Policies

** We do have Eagles on the River, so please keep an eye on your small pets. **

 

  • Guests may bring household pets, such as dogs and cats, to the campground. No other household animals, livestock, poultry, reptiles, insects, or exotic pets are permitted.

  • All pets must be registered with the office and vaccination records must be available upon request.

  • For the protection of, and consideration of other guests, noisy, aggressive, and unruly are not allowed at a campground. Guests who are unable to control their pets must remove them from the campground, or the animal may be taken by local animal control authorities.

  • Each pet must wear a collar identifying the owner and phone number.

  • Pets must be always kept on a leash and under the control of their owner.

  • Pets must not be left tied outside or otherwise unattended, inside or outside, at any time.

  • The owner of any pet is responsible for any injuries or damage caused by their pets. In addition, the owner of any pet that causes injury or damage to another person, animal or property is expected to resolve the issue directly with the injured party. Dillsboro RV River Park will not be held liable for any injuries or damage caused by pets registered at the campground office.

  • Guests are responsible for their pets and should "clean up" after them. All pet droppings must be properly disposed of in a trash receptacle. If we clean up after your pet you may incur $50 pet clean up fee/repair fee, paid by the guest.

  • Pets are not permitted in the public buildings, restrooms or Camp Store

  • Pets will be allowed in sites $0.00~per pet per stay (up to the maximum number of 2 pets allowed per site).

Dillsboro RV River Park is located on the Tuckasegee River where fishing, swimming, tubing, boating, canoeing and more water adventures await you.  Put in your tube, raft or canoe and while the time away in the cool river water. 

The Tuckasegee River is a fishing paradise within steps of the campsites.  Jackson County is home to the state record for the largest rainbow trout ever caught.  The Tuckasegee River is annually stocked with 92,800 trout a year so there is an abundance of brown trout, rainbow trout and brook trout.  Fishing license required and remember, that this area of the river is catch and release.

Conveniently located close to many area attractions, the Dillsboro RV River Park, is a short drive to Blue Ridge Parkway, Fire Mountain Trail, Smoky Mountain National Park and Harrah's Cherokee Casino. If you're up for additional adventures, it's not much further to Bryson City, the Nantahala Outdoor Center, Tsali Recreation Area and Fontana Lake.
